Give Jamie Lynn Spears a Break
January 10, 2008 – 6:10 pm
Things don’t always work out as planned. We all take actions which are not very well thought out and many of our short term as well as long term plans get messed up as result. We who are teenagers as well as those of us who are past the teen age surely know what brains of 16 years old operate like. You who are with no sins throw the first stone, right?
I think we should all give Jamie Lynn Spears a break. Leave the girl alone (LOL, I’m really not trying to be another Chris Crocker and dub his “Leave Britney Alone” rant). Sure she’s a sister of Britney Spears so news of her pregnancy got blown out of proportion, but before you start to make fun and judge, look in the mirror. Or ask yourself – if she wasn’t Britney’s sister, would it still be such a big deal?
I’m not advocating teenage pregnancy, I don’t think it was smart of her to neglect safe sex practices, but there are so many teenage girls with big bellies and we are just picking up on one. Jamie Lynn is in a Hollywood spotlight so she’s taking all the heat for all teenage pregnancies.
Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy will be without doubt a life changing experience. It’s unfortunate she got herself into it, but let’s not judge her by one mistake. I know for myself, that it’s better to try to see a good in every person before you start jumping to conclusions. Jamie Lynn has a heavy burden to wear, last thing she needs right now is to be judged by people who don’t even know her. Who don’t know how it went, what exactly happened, what consequences led to her pregnancy…
None of us would enjoy being judged by others who don’t even know you. Let’s not do the same thing to Jamie Lynn. She’s not the first 16 years old who got pregnant and she won’t be the last. Would you be impressed if you were in her shoes and everyone would be barking at you? So why do you do it?

Hi. my name is andrea and im from the bahamas. I agree with the head statement “give jamie lynn spears a break. We are all humans and no one is perfect. Yes we make mistakes but who are we to judge others. Teen age pregnancy is very popular and jamie is not the only one who got pregnant early and she wont be the last. Is it because she is a “spears”, sister of brittney. So what. Jamie is still a human just like you and i and she wants her privacy just like you would want. I am eighteen and no i dont have any kids. I am not for teenage pregnany but it annoys me that so much people wants to drop the world down on one lady because she is one in a million teenagers who got pregnant. Be fair and respect peoples privacy. To jamie. Hey i live in the bahamas where every day eight out of ten girls who walk by are pregnat. We never plan to have kids, but only to have sex. Despite what people on this earth say about you, only one man can judge you, He knows and sees all. And he is a very understanding God. This is a phase that will soon become extinct. Jamie be strong not only for you but for your baby. Despite what anyone says you and your child are blessings, not mistakes. May God continue to bless you. And remember god never leaves you, nor forsakes you. You were given this baby for a reason. Take care of your baby Jamie.

Yeah. I agree. What she did wasn’t smart, but you know, no one is perfect, we all make mistakes. Every one of us. Why should it be any different if you’re a movie star? They’re people, too. They’re human. That’s why they make mistakes, because they’re human. I’m not saying the baby was a bad thing, she was given it for a reason. And only God knows that reason. You just have to trust in Him. She and her child are blessings from God. He gave you to the world and He knows you’ll stumble in the path a few times because he knows you aren’t perfect. Don’t let the judgment bother you, Jamie. It doesn’t matter what the people of this world think of you. God’s judgment is the only one that matters. He knows you’re sorry for what you did. He knows that you probably learned a lesson from all this. That’s exactly what he wanted to do, He wanted to teach you a lesson. God bless both you and the baby.
